Alongside portraits and forensic art commissions, I have worked on projects that bring facial depiction to a wider audience. These include medical illustration, historical composites and artwork for television.
The Universe On Earth
This photograph was exhibited in the Chaiya Art Awards 2023 exhibition Awe and Wonder at Gallery@Oxo and The Bargehouse in London. See the exhibition details.
Anatomical illustration
For the first facial tissue transplant surgery in Finland and the Nordic countries, I worked with surgeon Patrik Lassus and forensic artist and anatomist Lydia Carline on illustrations explaining the procedure. Read about the facial transplant project.
Historical facial composite
A client wanted to depict his grandfather from memory after family photographs had been lost. When a photograph was later discovered, it gave us the rare opportunity to compare the composite with the person it portrayed. Read the project story.
Other commissions
Other work includes artwork for books and a collaboration with artist Bolor Amgalan on Finding The One, a project that combined art and scientific perspectives on the search for an ideal partner. See other projects.
Media
I have created illustrations and sketches for CBBC, ITV and FirstLook TV. View selected media work.
